Life's Better in Breeches.
"On the back of a horse you will find Paradise on Earth."
-Stella A. Walker
"putting a piece of foam under your saddle is NOT going to make it fit better, you’ll actually have less contact with the horse. for the love of the animal- get a properly fitted saddle, or a half pad with shims. what PISSES me off are people who get very expensive ‘designer’ saddles because they are fashionable, and fit the horse terribly. To my previous anon: when you said “chestnut bay” I though you just said chestnut. Sorry, I wasn’t trying to be a snark by saying “red bay.” Whoops, I love you.
Your icon of the girl jumping the chestnut bay, is that you?
he’s a red bay, but yes that’s me!
Unpopular Opinion: I believe that a pelham (when used properly) is a very useful, humane training aid.
So I have this theory that maybe—JUST MAYBE—draw reins aren’t ALWAYS the answer.
